Fire Protection system For Gas Turbine & Accessories @ Infosys

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

• Attend kick-off/ERM meetings and finalize Fire Protection Engineering requirements.
• Understanding project requirements, raising technical clarifications to clients, and preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Conduct technical and project investigations for various fire extinguishing systems (clean agent, inert gas, carbon dioxide, wet chemical, water mist and aerosol).
• Develop detailed specifications for fire protection systems and equipment.
• Deliver requisition on time and with expected Quality level on our projects.
• Deliver the system design baseline and be responsible for all technical deliverables.
• Prepare fire protection system layouts, drawings and documentation: New Part Release, Arrangement Drawings, CAD, BOM, AO, GBOM, SBOM. Schematics (P&ID) & Electrical Elementary, Instrumentations Device Summary & Interconnect list, Ordering Spec & Supplier Drawings Review, etc.
• Provide technical support for fire protection system projects. Support Field modification instruction.
• Implement codes and regulations for fire safety and suppression systems.
• Design fire protection systems in accordance with national and international fire safety codes and standards (NFPA, ISO, etc.).
• Design and estimate fire suppression systems including:
• Gas suppression systems (foam, water mist)
• Water-based systems (mechanical, sprinkler, mist, high-velocity water)
• Fire alarm systems
• Fire extinguishers
• Fire Detectors
• IR and UV detectors
• Interact with interfacing organizations such as manufacturer/supplier, sourcing, Drafting team, Configuration, Electrical Team, etc.
• Work with Customer Project Engineer to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems.
• Ability to work closely with other Consulting Engineers & Technical Leaders to maintain team synergies, lessons learned and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest fire protection technologies and codes.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Proficient in AutoCAD or other CAD packages.
• Basic knowledge on Power plant components and its functioning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
