Job Description
The AI and Data Science Operations team at BSI Insights supports better decision making at Novartis by using data to generate actionable insights and improve performance. We work with international business units to solve complex problems, develop analytical strategies, apply engineering and machine learning methods, and automate processes for efficiency.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver advanced analytical solutions for data science projects as an individual contributor.
- Collaborate with senior associates to enhance operational efficiency in existing processes.
- Generate data-driven ideas and actionable recommendations to improve business excellence.
- Apply structured project management with clear documentation and communication.
- Maintain SOPs and quality checklists to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.
- Manage internal customer expectations across multi-channel analytics and ad-hoc requests.
- Support targeting, segmentation, predictive analytics, and resource optimization initiatives.
- Explore and integrate generative AI and LLM technologies into analytics workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics with product development goals.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors
- Strong foundation in statistics, predictive analytics, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with R is a plus
- Proven ability to solve complex problems with creative, data-driven solutions
- Comfortable working across time zones and collaborating with global teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Bachelor s degree in a related field; Master of Science or MBA strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
