ADP is hiring a Director of Data Science.

We are looking for an Applied Scientist Leader to lead the development of next-generation AI-powered solutions for ADP. You will be responsible for creating systems for multi-faceted data analysis, developing advanced personalization and customization techniques, and integrating your solutions into intelligent applications for ADP Products. You will conduct in-depth research, produce production-ready code, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to integrate your work into applications and services. This role requires deep expertise in machine learning, data science, and generative AI. Preferred qualifications include practical experience with machine learning approaches for structured data, graph neural networks, time series modeling, and mathematical optimization. You should have the demonstrated ability to design novel solutions in response to business requirements and to successfully deploy software products that operate at scale.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
In this role, you'll have access to one of the most unique and largest HCM data sets. It's more than digits and dials - you're making huge decisions that impact millions of customers.
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- Set up, build, and grow the team. You will work in close collaboration with the leadership team to assemble a world-class team.
- Own and manage projects. You will identify, design, develop, and implement advanced and innovative analytical solutions that create high business impact.
- Productionize. You will design, implement, and deploy high-performing machine learning/AI models in the Cloud.
- Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling. You bring prior experience to the role of formulating problems, extracting & analyzing data from multiple systems, summarizing critical findings/insights, and developing a compelling visual representation of analyses with actionable recommendations. You will interact with developers, UX designers, product managers, and senior executives to understand the problem domain, project requirements, user experience, and demonstrate model performance and its business value
- Limitless Possibilities. You will continue learning and discovering new ways to leverage ADP data to create new products and services and find more insights. You are passionate about learning and applying new techniques within data science that lead to innovations.
- Collaboration and Communication. You'll be part of a collaborative team, listening to needs, then finding and sharing solutions. You're comfortable and skilled at presenting to both peers and leadership on your projects and findings.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- PhD in quantitative area and 10+ years experience in Data Science or related field is required, with at least 4 years experience as a Team Leader.
- Experience in Python, SQL, distributed computing tools such as Databricks, AWS, or other Cloud platforms; well-versed with Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or other machine learning libraries and platforms.
