Senior Security Operations Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Work Mode: Hybrid (23 days in office)
Work Timing: 1 PM 9 PM

At Toast, were looking for a Senior Security Operations Engineer who will play a pivotal role in strengthening our global defense systems, leading critical investigations, and mentoring our growing team of security experts.

What Youll Do:
- Lead and manage major security incidents from detection to resolution, serving as the key technical authority.
- Define and drive our security operations strategy, turning long-term visions into actionable solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts while improving automation, detection, and response capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams as a Security SME to design resilient systems.
- Architect and engineer advanced detection logic across SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence tools.
- Perform proactive threat hunting and digital forensics to identify and mitigate risks before they escalate.
- Continuously enhance incident response playbooks, optimizing for speed, accuracy, and resilience.
What Were Looking For:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or Threat Analysis.
- Degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field.
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel) with custom rule creation.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with automation scripting (Python, Go, or Ruby).
- Solid understanding of vulnerability management and digital forensics.
- Strong communication skills able to clearly present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves
- Advanced certifications: GCIH, GCFA, CISSP, OSCP.
- Exposure to Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, or FinTech compliance (PCI-DSS, SOX).
- Understanding of AI/ML applications in cybersecurity.
