Job Description
Are you a passionate and experienced Python coder who loves to learn about new technologies as well? We are looking for talented senior Python coders who can harness the power of diverse technologies to deliver outstanding solutions to our international clients.
You will work on international projects that may encompass tasks that involve any or all of the following:
- Building cutting edge desktop as well as web applications using:
- Python, Django
- Javascript and preferably React
- Postgresql, SQLite, MongoDB, Redis, etc
- Desktop GUI frameworks such as Kivy, Qt, Tkinter, etc
- Tailwind CSS, Scss/Sass
- Docker, Git and other relevant tools
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Heroku.
Desired candidate profile:
Essential:
- At least 2 years of work experience as a Python developer
- Strong Python coding skills with relevant hands-on experience
- Django and/or Flask expertise an advantage
- Sound Javascript skills, preferably Typescript and including knowledge in front-end framework (ideally React)
- Clear and effective written English
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science or information technology (or strongly related discipline)
- Willingness to learn other programming technologies including Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB and PHP.
Desirable:
- Good working knowledge of developing Python apps in a Linux environment
- Experience with any major cloud platform such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Heroku
- Exposure to Python data libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.
- PCEP/PCAP certification considered added advantage
