About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Manager - Business Development (Europe) to lead our business growth initiatives and drive revenue for Zycus SaaS-based procurement software solutions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development responsibilities, requiring a strong leader who can drive both personal and team success.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in SaaS enterprise sales, an in-depth understanding of the European market, and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and Develop the BD Team: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of business development professionals to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
- Individual Contributor (IC) Responsibilities: Own and drive your own sales targets alongside the team s goals identifying, engaging, and closing strategic enterprise opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Create and execute business development strategies that support Zycus growth objectives in the SaaS procurement software space.
- Market Expansion: Identify and target new markets, clients, and industry segments within Europe to expand Zycus footprint.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture alliances and partnerships that enhance Zycus market penetration and brand presence.
- Pipeline & Forecast Management: Oversee lead generation, opportunity tracking, and sales forecasting to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align business development initiatives with Zycus overall go-to-market strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Analyze trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and refine strategies.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers across enterprise organizations.
Qualifications & Skills - Experience: Minimum 6+ years in business development, sales, or related roles, with 3+ years in a leadership position, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software.
- Expertise in Procurement Solutions: Strong knowledge of procurement processes and related software (e.g., sourcing, contract management).
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Skills:Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive business growth.
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics.
