Job Description

Role & responsibilities


For Tellers:

  • Handle customer transactions: deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and fund transfers.
  • Maintain and balance cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
  • Verify customer identity and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • Detect and report suspicious or fraudulent activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve account-related queries.
  • Promote bank products and assist with opening new accounts.
  • Complete paperwork for transactions and reconcile daily records.

For WD:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers visiting the branch.
  • Provide customer service and product information for banking products and services.
  • Handle balance inquiries, transaction queries, and issue balance confirmation certificates.
  • Assist in account opening (Current Account, Savings Account, Fixed Deposits).
  • Cross-sell banking products and direct banking channels to walk-in customers.
  • Generate referrals from walk-in customers and internal databases.
  • Collect foreign currency cheques and manage related documentation.
  • Ensure customer acquisition and deepening of existing relationships.
  • Maintain compliance with banking norms and branch audit requirements.

For Relationship Managers: (PRM/Imperia RM)

  • Manage and grow the portfolio of Classic / High Net Worth (HNI) clients.
  • Cross-sell banking products like CASA, Insurance, Mutual Funds, Demat, Loans, etc.
  • Provide financial advice and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly revenue and balance growth targets.
  • Maintain compliance and service quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile


  • Graduate / Postgraduate
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven sales and customer-handling experience in retail banking
  • Target-oriented with leadership qualities (for BSM role)
  • Must have good knowledge of local market and customer behavior
