Our team owns services that enable customers to track and control their deliveries on Amazon retail sites. As a member of this team, you will design and develop software to collaborate with Amazon s numerous backend systems and directly impact customers. The ideal candidate for this role has good experience in designing and developing scalable high-performance systems and services that are flexible, reliable, and maintainable. You take pragmatic and iterative approach to building software: you have an ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams. Our systems and algorithms operate on one of the worlds largest product catalogs and it is quite routine for our systems to operate on massive datasets using distributed frameworks. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you would also raise the technical bar in the team by advocating for building things right, introducing best practices, long term architecture, minimize technical debt, mentor and grow other engineers. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
