Job Duties and Description
- Work closely with the Commercial team for demand forecasting and challenge
assumptions to arrive at one forecast. Manage activities related to planning, forecastingincluding statistical analysis and transmitting forecast to global planning system (IBP)
- Establish processes and procedures for coordination of demand planning activities
with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance and global supply teams.Work closely with different stakeholders to develop and implement a robust demandforecast for the company (across all product lines).
- Collaborate extensively with internal business leaders to drive handshake between
agreed demand forecast and resultant supply plan. The role holder shall be required todo monthly deep diving of forecast accuracy scores with commercial team and businessleaders to drive improvement in FA score and better product availability.
- Adopt/embrace new supply chain demand planning practices in accordance with
changing practices to drive operational efficiencies including effective use of SAP IBPand planning modules used across pharma industry.
- Co-develop supply plans with global supply planners and manage and maintain supply
pipeline aligned to demand plan
Job Purpose
The position serves to the Supply Chain Planning function for all product categories in allbusiness franchises. This individual shall work very closely with all commercial functionsto align the demand planning process to the business operations in real time.This individual will also work with the site supply chain teams to ensure a continuoussupply of products and inventory management to support the business.The individual will be responsible for ensuring all relevant supply Chain systems areappropriately developed, maintained, and improved, including managing demandforecasting, supply of product to the markets, inventory management keeping track ofkey KPIs of DOH, Product availability.
- Enable timing MRP Implementation- Strong understanding of artwork changes and
import license related regulations are needed to develop supply plans and ensure supplycontinuity amidst changes driven by pharma regulations.
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes related to demand generation
and product liquidation, thereby identifying opportunities to drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure effective physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times,
position responsibilities, or system flows.
- Ensure master data update and maintenance for all products .
- Act as Supply Chain SPOC for new product launches collaborating extensively with
Regulatory Affairs team and Global Supply Chain teams to bring product in the countryper country launch plan and pipeline.
Education & Experience Requirements
Essential:
- A Masters degree in Supply Chain is preferred
- Progressive experience in various demand planning and supply planning roles.
Desired:
- Knowledge of SAP IBP and ERP systems.
- Effective written and oral communication skills are required to facilitate
information flow across with internal / external supply chain partners andsenior leadership.
- Knowledge of different aspects of regulatory compliance that impact a
pharmaceutical supply chain.This can include label development and artworklifecycle understanding and understanding of QMS elements
- Ability to manage the day-to-day Supply Chain Planning Operations for the
country; and meet simultaneously, the goals of Country, Business Unit andSupply Chain. Specific challenges and complexities revolve around balancingservice, schedule compliance, productivity / cost objectives due toconstraints, QA issues, change controls, projects, etc.
