Role & responsibilities -
Performance Tester Airlines Domain Experience: 4 to 8 years Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Performance Tester with 4 to 8 years in performance testing, preferably in the Airlines or Aviation domain. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring that airline booking, reservation, payment, and operational systems perform efficiently and reliably under various load conditions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly scalable and optimized solutions that support critical airline operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts for airline applications such as booking systems, loyalty programs, check-in systems, and payment gateways. Conduct load, stress, endurance, and spike testing to validate system robustness and scalability in a high-transaction aviation environment. Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements for backend services, database operations, and third-party integrations. Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance. Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous monitoring. Monitor application behavior during peak travel seasons and special events, ensuring system readiness for high user demand. Generate detailed test reports with actionable insights tailored for airline business stakeholders. Stay current on airline industry regulations, compliance requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: 4 to 8 years of performance testing experience with a strong background in the Airlines or Aviation industry. Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar. In-depth understanding of airline booking engines, reservation systems (PNR), payment processing, and backend integrations. Familiarity with airline-specific protocols and standards (e.g., XML/JSON messaging). Knowledge of database performance tuning and network protocols critical to airline operations. Proficiency in scripting languages (Java, or similar) for test development. Experience with monitoring tools like Data Dog. Ability to work within Agile teams and integrate testing into automated pipelines (GitLab). Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
