We are seeking dynamic and motivated Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to join our Procurement Department. This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates to begin their professional journey and gain valuable exposure to procurement and supply chain operations in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
As a GET in the Purchase Department, you will undergo a comprehensive training program designed to develop your understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, material planning, and cost optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient purchasing operations that support the company's technical and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of major construction materials (e.g. Cement, Steel, Bitumen, Admixture, etc.) as per project requirements.
- Support vendor identification, evaluation, and development activities.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Participate in cost analysis, negotiation, and purchase planning.
- Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and reports.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the purchase and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical and civil engineering.
- Strong academic background with a sound understanding of engineering and commercial fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of SAP or procurement tools (preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
