Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain BigID applications for data discovery, classification, and privacy management.
- Implement and customize privacy workflows such as Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), data retention, consent management, and data rights automation.
- Design and develop custom classifiers, regex patterns, and ML-based policies for identifying PII, PHI, and other sensitive data across structured and unstructured sources.
- Collaborate with data governance, security, and compliance teams to define and implement privacy and data protection policies.
- Integrate BigID with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Collibra, Informatica, or OneTrust for end-to-end privacy governance.
- Automate workflows and reporting using BigID REST APIs, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Monitor data discovery and classification jobs for accuracy, performance, and coverage.
- Develop privacy dashboards, audit trails, and compliance reports to support regulatory audits.
- Manage data remediation, access control, and data lifecycle governance within the BigID environment.
- Ensure alignment with global data privacy regulations and corporate data governance frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with BigID or similar data privacy / governance tools.
- Strong understanding of data discovery, classification, and metadata management using BigID Data Intelligence Platform (DIP).
- Hands-on experience with BigID Privacy Apps (DSAR, Consent Management, Retention, Privacy Portal).
- In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, LGPD, PDPA, etc.
- Experience integrating BigID with databases, data lakes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs for automation and system integration.
- Understanding of data governance, data masking, and access control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
