Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented AI Model Governance Specialist to ensure that artificial intelligence models across the organization are transparent, ethical, compliant, and risk-managed. The ideal candidate will implement governance frameworks, conduct model risk assessments, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to maintain accountability throughout the AI lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI model governance policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments of AI models, including fairness, bias, explainability, security, and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with AI, data science, and engineering teams to review model design, development, validation, and deployment processes.
- Maintain AI model inventory and documentation to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
- Monitor AI models in production for performance, bias, drift, and unintended outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, AI Ethics Guidelines).
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on AI governance, ethical AI, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting related to AI systems.
- Stay updated on emerging AI governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory developments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or Risk & Compliance.
- Experience with model governance tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with AI auditing, MLOps, and AI lifecycle management.
- Professional certifications in AI Ethics, Data Governance, or Risk Management.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
