Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Power BI Developer & SQL Expert to join our data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 11 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions. This role demands expert-level proficiency in Power BI and T-SQL, along with deep expertise in the Azure data ecosystem. You will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop & Maintain Power BI Solutions: Design, build, and deploy compelling and efficient Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that meet complex business requirements.
* Data Modeling & DAX: Develop robust, scalable, and optimized data models within Power BI. Write highly efficient and complex DAX calculations, measures, and calculated columns to solve advanced analytical problems.
* SQL & Database Optimization: Serve as the subject matter expert for SQL. Write highly complex, performant stored procedures, functions, and views. Optimize database performance by tuning queries, managing indexes, and ensuring data integrity.
* Azure Data Integration: Design and implement end-to-end Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) to connect disparate data sources and orchestrate data flows.
* Data Lake Management: Manage, govern, and utilize data stored in Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), ensuring data quality and accessibility for BI consumption.
* Legacy Integration: Develop, deploy, and maintain robust SSIS Packages for on-premises data integration tasks and migration projects.
* Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements, define KPIs, and ensure data solutions align with organizational goals.
Required Skills & Expertise
* Microsoft Power BI: Expert in report development, data visualization best practices, Row-Level Security (RLS), and deployment/management on Power BI Service.
* SQL/T-SQL: Expert proficiency in writing complex queries, performance tuning, optimization, and database design.
* DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Deep expertise in complex DAX pattern implementation (e.g., time intelligence, context transition, iteration functions).
* Azure Data Platform: Hands-on experience with core Azure services: Azure SQL Database/Data Warehouse (Synapse), and Azure Data Lake.
* Azure Data Factory (ADF): Strong experience in building and monitoring robust pipelines, managing linked services, and implementing data movement activities.
* SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services): Proven ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot SSIS packages for complex ETL scenarios.
Qualifications.
* Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate) are a plus.
