Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps & Cloud Architect with deep technical expertise in Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary) cloud ecosystems. The candidate will architect and drive the end-to-end design, automation, and optimization of cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications for mission-critical enterprise systems.
This role demands a hands-on leader who can combine strategic architecture with practical implementation, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across multi-environment deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Engineering
- Architect, design, and implement secure, highly available Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS, AKS).
- Develop cloud networking components VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Route Tables, and Private Endpoints.
- Manage Azure SQL (elastic pools), Cosmos DB, and Storage Accounts with private networking and encryption at rest.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Design and maintain multi-region DR and business continuity strategies.
- Optimize cloud cost, scalability, and performance leveraging Azure Monitor and Cost Management.
DevOps, CI/CD, and Release Automation
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, enabling automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Integrate infrastructure provisioning, application packaging, and configuration management into pipelines.
- Manage multi-environment deployments (Dev QA Staging Prod) with release governance, rollback policies, and approval gates.
- Implement blue-green, canary, and rolling deployments for containerized and serverless workloads.
- Automate infrastructure validation using PowerShell, Bash, and YAML-based pipelines.
Containerization & Kubernetes Orchestration
- Build, deploy, and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS / Rancher).
- Architect AKS clusters with node pools, autoscaling, and managed identities.
- Configure Ingress Controllers, Service Mesh (Istio), and Helm charts for microservice deployments.
- Implement Azure Container Registry (ACR) integration with AKS for secured image pulls.
- Troubleshoot and optimize pod networking, DNS resolution, liveness/readiness probes, and resource utilization.
Monitoring, Security & Reliability
- Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
- Integrate Application Insights with Web Apps, Functions, and AKS workloads for full-stack visibility.
- Enforce role-based access control (RBAC), Managed Identities, and Key Vault secrets management.
- Conduct security posture assessments, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation (CIS, NIST, ISO).
- Design infrastructure for HA, scalability, DR, and fault tolerance using Azure Availability Zones and Traffic Manager.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor cross-functional DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams.
- Partner with Development, QA, and Security teams to ensure consistent deployment standards.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and actionable automation strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on cloud migration, DevOps maturity, and cost optimization.
- Establish best practices for Git branching (feature staging release production) and governance.

- CKA / CKAD Certified Kubernetes Administrator / Developer
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
Bonus Experience
- Experience with Hybrid Cloud, Azure Arc, or Multi-Cloud automation.
- Familiarity with FinOps, security hardening, or GitOps (ArgoCD / Flux) methodologies.
- Hands-on exposure to serverless architecture (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda).
