Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Manage inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynaecological cases.
- Attend antenatal, postnatal, and gynaecology clinics.
- Conduct and assist in normal, instrumental, and caesarean deliveries.
- Assist in elective and emergency gynaecological surgeries (laparoscopic/open).
- Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies in ER, labour ward, and theatre.
- Perform daily ward rounds and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and high standards of clinical care.
On-Call Responsibilities
- Participate in on-call roster for obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
- Supervise and support junior doctors and residents during duty hours.
- Consult senior staff promptly for complex or high-risk cases.
Work Conditions:
- Rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Work in labour ward, operating theatre, outpatient clinic, and inpatient wards.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including anaesthesia, neonatology, and nursing.
