Job Description

1.1. Total care of the allotted patients.
1.2. Compliance to all nursing manuals/protocols at all circumstances while on duty.
1.3. Following medical prescriptions/orders and ensuring correct medication administration - taking care of patients need
1.4. Taking care of minimum house keeping standards including related departmental interface.
1.5. Complete hand over/take over of her assigned patients including physically checking patients and their units.
1.6. Checks her special assignments like checking of crash cart, checking inventory, or any other assignment given by in-charge
1.7. Plans, organizes, and delivers nursing care in a manner that upholds organizational values, healing, promotion of health and prevention of complications
1.8. Responsible for discharge summaries and recording of patient health information. Maintenance of nursing records including nurses notes, charts, consents, and initial assessment data for all assigned patients as per protocols.
1.9. Maintains continuity of care through clear and concise verbal and written communication with all departments, internal and external customers
1.10. Reception and orientation of newly admitted patients assigned to him/her.
1.11. Will accompany patients to radiology/ OT and accompany all critical & helpless patients.
1.12. Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process.
1.13. Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department
1.14. Imparts relevant health education to patients and families and documents the same.
1.15. Takes care of all dying patients, maintains seriousness and accompanies every dead body to the mortuary.
1.16. Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs.
1.17. Training care attendants and new nurses as directed
1.18. Takes responsibility and accountability in professional advancement.
