Job Description
Technical Specialist, Server
Experience: 8+ years
- Excellent Knowledge about latest Windows, Azure, VMware, Linux Operating systems and their services.
Certified AZ-104 preferred
Exposure on following OS: WIN 2012/WIN 2016/WIN 2019 & Linux flavours.
Understanding and Knowledge on SQL servers.
Ability to create and Setup the servers on Azure and VMware environment along with their configurations.
Knowledge about the network topologies concept.
Understanding about Veeam, Azure Backup (DPM), Nimble, Chasity Backup tool.
Exposure on AD, DNS, DHCP along with Certificate installation and deployment.
Clear understanding about Patch management, installation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge about Radius, VPN servers for wireless security.
AD migration & FSMO/Group Policy management
Proficient in using Dell ID rack for remote administrating the server
Create, Delete & Manage Users Groups Account, Assigning privileges to users
Configuring RAID Mirror (Raid-I), RAID 5 and RAID 10 on Dell and HP servers
Following Applications Deep Knowledge would be preferred (MoveiT, Cribl, Keeper, PWS, XTAM)
Exposure and Deep Knowledge on Centre of Internet Security and Benchmarking Hardening (CIS) would be preferred.
CIS benchmark document to understand the recommended security configurations and best practices.
Implement the security configurations and settings recommended in the CIS benchmark.
Configure user accounts, file permissions, network settings, and other system parameters as specified in the benchmark document.
Engineers may need to modify configuration files, use group policies (on Windows), or run command-line tools to apply the recommended changes.
After applying the recommended configurations, thoroughly test your system to ensure that it still functions as expected.
Test different aspects of your systems functionality, including network connectivity, application functionality, and user access.
Educate your team members and system administrators about the importance of adhering to the CIS benchmark and following security best practices.
Exposure about updates and changes to the CIS benchmarks by regularly checking the CIS website for the latest versions.
Verify that the security settings have been correctly applied in terms of CIS benchmarks and that there are no unintended consequences.
