Java Spring Boot Developer @ Orcapod Consulting

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs for large-scale enterprise systems.
  
• Implement and manage data persistence using JPA/Hibernate with relational databases like MySQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL.
  
• Ensure code quality by writing unit and integration tests using JUnit / Mockito.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
  
• Work on CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab, and manage source control with Git.
  
• (Optional Plus) Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 6-9 years of strong experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
  
• Deep understanding of Spring framework modules Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security.
  
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  
• Proficient in SQL and ORM tools (JPA/Hibernate).
  
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work in Agile / Scrum environments.
  
• Self-motivated and a good team player with a problem-solving attitude.
