PowerBi Developer

Work Type: Contract (6 months)

Immediate Joiners only

Experience & Skills 

- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports

- Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile

- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, star schema, and dimensional modeling 

- Advanced knowledge of DAX functions and formulas for complex calculations 

- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices 

- Familiarity with Power BI Gateway configuration for on-premises data sources 

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development & Design 

- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements 

- Create visually appealing and intuitive data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders 

- Build responsive dashboards optimized for both desktop and mobile viewing 

- Implement best practices in dashboard design including layout, color schemes, and user

Requirements Analysis & Stakeholder Management 

- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements

 - Conduct requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical specifications 

- Provide recommendations on data visualization best practices and dashboard design strategies 

- Present dashboards and insights to stakeholders and incorporate feedback iteratively.

Data Modeling & Integration 

- Design and develop efficient data models using Power BI Desktop 

- Create and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures and calculated columns 

- Connect to multiple data sources including SQL Server, Excel, Azure, APIs, and cloud-based platforms Performance Optimization & Maintenance 

- Optimize dashboard performance through efficient data modeling and query optimization 

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data refresh, connectivity, and report performance 

- Maintain and update existing Power BI reports and dashboards based on changing business needs 

- Monitor report usage and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
