Job Description - Backup L3/L2 Support

1. Overall Objectives of Job: (If multiple sections, accord weightage to each section)

The candidate would be responsible for end to end technical deliveries of the backup infrastructure, that include administration, monitoring and run the business operations as well as assist in key system upgrades, patching, migrations and deployments.

1. Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with project/service managers and technical teams for planned system upgrades, changes, administration and run the business tasks in the Backup infrastructure domain.

• Provide day to day operational activities with Backup/Recovery environment and supporting storage teams.

• Assist in Data center consolidation efforts and migration plan out.

• Perform a Maintenance of H/W and monitoring of the Backup Infrastructure across the pre-production & Production environment.

• Capacity planning and performance analysis of backup and recovery infrastructure.

• Ensure Implementation processes and procedures are developed, implemented and followed for various activities with respect to Backup Infrastructure Projects.

• Proper documentation of various implementation procedures for system and migration & upgrades before operational handover.

• Strategy Plaining related to backup infrastructure in terms of on-going enhancement of Backup & Recovery environment.

1. Qualification, Experience, Technical and Functional Skills

• Bachelor's Degree

• Prior Experience in Server Administration - Linux Server Infrastructure Projects/Support related roles

• Datacentre migration & support related roles

• Working in L2/L3 Roles in a global delivery team model

• Certifications - Backup & Recovery Commvault
