Senior Db Support Engineer - Hana/oracle @ SAP

Job Description

What youll do  

• Developing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency to reduce manual efforts and cost structure (lower TCO).
• Hands-On knowledge on HANA DB Administration & Linux.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to report/review/enhance overall Database performance.
• Monitor and optimize HANA system performance, including database tuning, query optimization, and resource management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP HANA & Python-code effectively.
• Work on high priority incidents and provide on-call support on rotational basis.
• Participate and own various projects, proof-of-concept initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Provide technical guidance to L1/L2 Teams.

What you bring 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline that provides a solid background in IT.
• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience on database design, optimization, and query performance tuning (SAP Hana/Oracle)
• Develop data migration, replication, and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of stored procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve deployment, testing, and operational workflows.
• Optimize and scale backend applications for performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide efficient resolutions.
• Decision-making, persistence and can-do attitude
• Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking.
• Experience with machine learning automation or AI-driven workflows. 
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
