What You ll Build
As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator , you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing the databases that power SAP Document Management Service (DMS) a cloud-based enterprise content management solution supporting mission-critical SAP applications worldwide.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production environments.
- Performing query tuning, indexing, replication, high availability (HA) setup, and disaster recovery planning .
- Partnering with application and development teams to design efficient schemas and optimize SQL performance.
- Managing and monitoring cloud-based PostgreSQL deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Ensuring database security, scalability, performance , and automation through scripting and proactive monitoring.
What you bring
- 4 6 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning , database internals , and replication techniques .
- Practical experience managing PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems , DevOps , and CI/CD pipelines .
- Solid programming and scripting skills exposure to Java, Python , or REST APIs is a plus.
