Job Description
Position Summary
As a Digital Product Owner, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of key product features within our retail securities trading platform. Reporting to the Product Management Leadership, you will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding engineering, UX/UI, legal, compliance, and business stakeholdersto define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact capabilities.
This role requires:
- A deep understanding of financial services and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA).
- Prior experience with modern digital architectures, customer-facing software systems, analytics-driven KPI measurement (e.g., Google Analytics), and feature experimentation tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly).
- Ability to champion user needs while aligning with business goals such as acquisition, retention, and monetization in a competitive fintech landscape.
- Familiarity with user feedback tools (e.g., Qualtrics) and iterative improvement based on OKRs/KPIs.
- Translate business needs and product strategy into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, balancing customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and team capacity.
- Collaborate with stakeholdersbusiness teams, UX, engineeringto gather requirements, validate solutions, and align priorities.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups) to guide development and ensure delivery of high-value features.
- Make trade-off decisions based on scope, time, and resources, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals.
- Ensure development aligns with product vision and delivers measurable outcomes supporting business objectives.
- Monitor progress against sprint goals and resolve impediments or dependencies.
- Validate completed features against acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
- Use analytics, user feedback, and team insights to refine backlog items and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer behavior, and internal performance metrics to guide future enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, and security requirements throughout development.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in product management or product ownership within financial services or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of retail securities trading platforms and regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA).
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Proficiency in digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and feature experimentation platforms (LaunchDarkly or similar).
- Familiarity with API integrations, modern digital architectures, and customer-facing software systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
- Understanding of data privacy, security standards, and compliance requirements.
