Job Description
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer you will serve as technical leader within Sodexos Global Cloud Factory, driving the Engineering, automation, and governance of cloud-native data platforms.
You will orchestrate DevOps practices across infrastructure, data and Digital domains, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant deployments using Sodexos Cloud Shared Libraries (CSL) and Azure services.
He/ she will collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding architects, data engineers, and product ownersto implement CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code (IaC), and support the onboarding of new use cases across regions.
Acting as a referent, he/she will contribute to the DevOps Community of Practice, mentor DevOps engineers, and lead initiatives that accelerate digital transformation, AI integration, and cloud migration.

Role & responsibilities:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Lead the Cloud Engineering team for Data hub and Digital & AI Scope
- Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to project needs.
- Integrate and support Azure Data Services: Data Lake, Synapse, SQL, Data Factory.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles across environments.
DevOps Practices:
- Standardise DevOps tools and workflows across teams.
- Contribute to Cloud Shared Libraries for reusable components.
- Promote best practices via the DevOps Community of Practice (CoP).
- Operate within Data and Digital and AI Teams supporting Cloud transformation and cloud-by-design projects.
- Align with strategic initiatives like Cloud Transformation, Digital & AI acceleration, and regional empowerment.
- Mentor and upskill DevOps engineers across different teams (e.g., teaching Cloud DevOps engineers the cloud devops concepts, teaching the newcomers SODEXOs ecosystem in terms of Cloud CSL, Azure DevOps practices).
- Internal certifications
- Deploying Cloud infrastructure Iaas and Paas using infrastructure as code.
- Implement Automation tools for projects
- Master Azure Infrastructure configuration for all assets
- Maintain and ensure compliancy withing the Sodexos Cloud ecosystem
- Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning multiple systems and infrastructure layers Contribute within the Project Devops Team for emergency topics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project planning and execution ( Digital & AI and Datahub architects and PM, PO, PPO..)
- Communicate effectively with all squads and teams members
- Technical Expertise:
- Administer and maintain servers, operating systems, and related infrastructure components.
- Perform routine system upgrades and patch management.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Develop and utilize scripts for automating repetitive tasks.
- Implement automation for system monitoring and alerting.
- Level 3 support
- Diagnose and resolve more complex technical issues that require a deeper understanding of systems.
- Collaborate with Level 3 support for advanced issue resolution.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning multiple systems and infrastructure layers.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics for root cause analysis.
- Support layer 3 for incidents and for programs e.g M2C and L&S
- Work hand on hand with the Cloud Architect reference in the Cloud Factory to take ownership of the technical delivery of key initiatives and Data projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, to specification, and with high quality.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize system performance through configuration adjustments and resource allocation.
- Conduct performance testing and capacity planning.
