Job Description

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options optimizing application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and reusing proven solutions account for others' developmental activities

Outcomes:

  1. Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.
  2. Code debug test document and communicate product/component/feature development stages.
  3. Validate results with user representatives; integrates and commissions the overall solution
  4. Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components or creating own solutions
  5. Optimises efficiency cost and quality.
  6. Influence and improve customer satisfaction
  7. Set FAST goals for self/team; provide feedback to FAST goals of team members

  1. Adherence to engineering process and standards (coding standards)

  1. Advise Software Developers on design and development of features and components with a deep understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client.
  2. Learn more about the customer domain identifying opportunities to provide valuable addition to customers

Manage Project:

  1. Manage delivery of modules and/or manage user stories


Manage Defects:

  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation
  2. Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality


Estimate:

  1. Create and provide input for effort estimation for projects


Manage knowledge:

  1. Consume and contribute to project related documents
    share point
    libraries and client universities
  2. Review the reusable documents created by the team


Release:

  1. Execute and monitor release process


Design:

  1. Contribute to creation of design (HLD
    LLD
    SAD)/architecture for Applications/Features/Business Components/Data Models


Interface with Customer:

  1. Clarify requirements and provide guidance to development team
  2. Present design options to customers
  3. Conduct product demos


Manage Team:

  1. Set FAST goals and provide feedback
  2. Understand aspirations of team members and provide guidance
    opportunities
    etc
  3. Ensure team is engaged in project


Certifications:

  1. Take relevant domain/technology certification

    Additional Comments:

    The Data Engineer IV will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. They will drive our data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They engage through the entire lifecycle of a project from data mapping, data pipelines, data modeling, and finally data consumption. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. They will proactively optimize or even assist with the design of our company's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives. They will work on various, ambiguous, and complex issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an in- depth evaluation of variable factors, thorough understanding of the business strategy, operations, markets and key stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities: Designs and develops streaming data applications. (Kafka, Java Microservices, MongoDB) Solves complex application errors, designs, and resolves application problems, following up promptly with all appropriate customers and IT personnel. Create requirement documents, create functional design documents, and review the functional design documents created by vendor partners as a part of software development life cycle. Documents all phases of work including gathering requirements, joining relationship diagrams, creating database diagrams, and other program technical specifications using current specified design standards for new or revised solutions. Relates information from various sources to draw logical conclusions. Acts as a subject matter expert on technology solution
