Sports Vertical: Mission
Organize the worlds sports information and make it universally accessible and useful
Role Description
- Support launching OneBox for leagues based on the outlined process
- Ensure that all issues/escalations are triaged, tracked, investigated, resolved and communicated accurately using internal tools and systems Report updates, feedback and insights to xFN stakeholders
- Report issues and inquiries to data providers via various channels following protocols specified by providers
- Responsible for checking data quality and performing corrective actions
- Communicate in written form with internal and external stakeholders
- Review all products release and update information from data providers and ensure all changes in providers will not cause any glitch in Google Sports
- Identify and execute robust and continuous improvement opportunities within the data management processes
- Other duties as assigned
Data and tech savviness
- 3+ years of programming / scripting; Java preferred
- Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux commands, XML, HTML and CSS
- Ability to analyze data with strong spreadsheet and database query experience with SQL
- Must have the technical aptitude to learn, apply and solve technological solutions and/or challenges.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to do research to understand new sports concepts and terms
- Ability and desire to continue to expand knowledge of sports ecosystem
- English proficiency
- Effective communication skills especially in written communication
Troubleshooting
Data and tech savviness
- Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux command and scripting for parsing feed (XML) using XPath or similar kinds
- Ability to build codes for simple data monitoring and analysis
- Java readability is a plus
- Able to multitask, experience with managing multiple projects / accounts simultaneously while paying attention to details.
- Experience in a customer service or contact center environment
- Experience in building knowledge base for customer support
