Job Description

We are looking for Snowflake Data Engineer. This position will be full-time and onsite Gurugram.


What Youll Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
  • Build and maintain CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines to support incremental data updates and real-time data synchronization.
  • Develop and maintain data marts to support Spotfire dashboards and other analytical workloads.
  • Integrate and migrate data from Oracle and PostgreSQL databases into Snowflake.
  • Write, review, and optimize complex SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL queries for data analysis and transformation.
  • Collaborate with BI developers and business users to understand reporting requirements and deliver efficient data structures.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, query performance tuning, and warehouse optimization in Snowflake.
  • Manage Snowflake environments, including warehouses, user roles, security, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all systems and pipelines.
  • Work closely with data governance and operations teams to maintain compliance and metadata integrity.

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including schema design, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and CDC pipelines.
  • Solid working experience with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL, including query writing, tuning, and data extraction.
  • Advanced SQL skills for building, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.
  • Experience designing data marts and preparing data models for Spotfire or other BI tools.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python for automation and data processing.
  • Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Spotfire data integration and dashboard optimization.
  • Exposure to real-time/streaming data frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
