Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Expert with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HTML 5 JavaScript and accessibility tools focusing on enhancing web accessibility. This role involves ensuring our digital platforms are accessible to all users aligning with our commitment to inclusivity and societal impact.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all digital content meets established accessibility standards and guidelines enhancing user experience for individuals with disabilities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into the development lifecycle ensuring seamless user interactions.

Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits and provide actionable insights to improve web accessibility across platforms.

Develop and implement accessibility training programs for team members fostering a culture of inclusivity and awareness.

Utilize HTML 5 and JavaScript to create accessible web components ensuring compatibility with various assistive technologies.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of accessibility tools recommending improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.

Provide expert guidance on accessibility compliance ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Lead the development of accessibility documentation and resources supporting ongoing education and awareness efforts.

Collaborate with designers and developers to create accessible design solutions ensuring all users can engage with our content.

Stay updated on the latest accessibility trends and technologies integrating new insights into our accessibility strategy.

Advocate for accessibility within the organization highlighting its importance in achieving our mission and values.

Analyze user feedback to identify accessibility challenges implementing solutions that improve overall user satisfaction.

Support the testing and validation of accessibility features ensuring they meet user needs and expectations.

Qualifications

Demonstrate expertise in HTML 5 and JavaScript with a focus on creating accessible web content.

Possess strong knowledge of accessibility tools and their application in real-world scenarios.

Exhibit a deep understanding of web accessibility standards and guidelines ensuring compliance and best practices.

Have experience conducting accessibility audits and providing actionable recommendations.

Show proficiency in developing and delivering accessibility training programs.

Display excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for accessibility across teams.

Maintain a proactive approach to learning and integrating new accessibility technologies and trends.
