Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Testing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Data Testing, ETL processes, BI reporting, and automation testing to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data across enterprise systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply strong knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and perform ETL validations using tools like Informatica, Matillion, and DBT to ensure seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Execute and manage complex queries across databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server, DynamoDB, DB2, and Postgres.
- Conduct data validation and troubleshooting using SQL scripting.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like QuerySurge, Tosca DI, Python, Java, and Selenium to enhance testing efficiency and support regression testing.
- Perform data validation and reporting using BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau, ensuring consistency and accuracy across platforms.
- Author comprehensive test scripts to validate data processes and outcomes.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure continued functionality and performance of data applications.
- Analyze defects and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
- Create, manage, and maintain test data sets for realistic and consistent testing scenarios.
- Apply appropriate testing methodologies to ensure thorough coverage and quality control of data systems.
- Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for cloud-based testing environments and solutions.
- Use test management tools like Jira, ALM, etc., for tracking and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in data testing, ETL validation, and automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, ETL tools, and BI platforms.
- Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Java, and Selenium.
- Experience with QuerySurge, Tosca DI, and other data testing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of test management tools like Jira and ALM.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
