Job Description

Job Summary

A designer will be responsible for development of new designs to be introduced at Khazana Jewellery. He/she would use their creativity supplemented by external understanding of market trends , customer needs, as well as internal inputs from front-end as well as back-end functions, to help them develop new designs. Also drawn inspiration from other sources including jewellery exhibition , bench-marking with competitors etc.

Key Responsibilities

l Prepare design prototypes according to inputs received from product team.

l Develop innovative & good quality designs that are ready for issue to manufacturing, based on understanding of market trends & gaps in current offering vs. market needs

l Manufacturing feasibility checks on new designs developed liaise with vendor development functions.

l Conduct market, consumer & competitor surveys to understand emerging trends & themes.

l Identify & evaluate potential vendors for design development.

l Work with HOD for finalization of contracts & terms with design vendors.

l First point of contact with design vendors - define scope of work, monitor output, facilitate discussions with other product functions if necessary.

Preferred candidate profile

Jewellery designer (NIFT) with 3-10 years experience in Jewellery industry. (understanding of designs, Proficiency at Autocad / other design software)
