Job Description
Job Title: Data Architect
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep technical expertise in Azure data services, data modeling, and modern data architectures (lakehouse, warehouse, etc.), with a strong focus on supporting analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Develop scalable and efficient data architectures to support large-scale data processing and analytics workloads.
Define and enforce data modeling, data integration, and data governance standards.
Evaluate and implement Azure services such as:
Azure Databricks (configuration, costing, etc.)
Unity Catalog
Azure Data Factory
Azure Data Lake Storage
Ensure data solutions are high-performance, secure, and compliant with relevant standards.
Design and implement modern data architectures such as Lakehouse and Data Warehouse.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists, to translate data requirements into robust architectural solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams implementing data engineering solutions.
Optimize cloud-based data infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
Monitor and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and data quality.
Analyze and tune data workloads for cost management and operational efficiency.
Implement data privacy, governance, and compliance best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Hands-on experience with core Azure Data Services:
Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Storage
Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Scala.
Strong expertise in data modeling and analytics:
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.
Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving attitude, highly self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
