About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and testing frameworks like Selenium and Playwright. The candidate should have hands-on experience testing Angular-based web applications, implementing robust automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for Angular web applications.
- Collaborate with developers and QA leads to identify automation opportunities and optimize test coverage.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Implement robust reporting mechanisms and maintain automation artifacts.
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and quality assurance processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test scripts and frameworks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation efficiency and reliability.
Technical Skills Required
- Programming Languages: TypeScript and JavaScript
- Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright (hands-on mandatory)
- Frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or equivalent
- Frontend Testing: Strong experience testing Angular applications
- Build & CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Version Control: Git
- Reporting Tools: Allure, Extent Reports, or similar
- Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or Rest Assured
- Exposure to Cypress or WebdriverIO
- Understanding of BDD using Cucumber or Gherkin
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
