Postgresql Database Administrator @ Posidex Technologies

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures
- Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through best practices and monitoring
- Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database structures and queries
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and backups
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, test, and production environments
- Implement and maintain replication, partitioning, and high availability solutions
- Document database architecture, configurations, and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database and having Oracle/Mysql is an advantage
- Proven experience in end-to-end database migration projects
- Expertise in SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
- Familiarity with replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery setups
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage
- Experience with heterogeneous database migrations (between different engines)
- Skilled in performance optimization techniques
- Ability to cloud db RDS transactional environments and plan migration strategies

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech (CSE/IT)/M.C.A/M.Sc(IT) only with 60%.

Experience: 2-5 years as a PostgreSQL DBA.
