Job Description
- Role Overview: Genpact, a global professional services and solutions firm, is looking for a Lead Consultant with expertise in Java, Selenium, Appium, Mobile Testing, and API Testing. As a Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for overseeing testing and automation initiatives, mentoring a team of testers, ensuring best practices in automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities: - Mentor a team of testers to ensure effective execution of automation and testing strategies. - Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Appium, and API testing tools for web and mobile applications. - Manage and implement mobile testing strategies for Android and iOS platforms. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage for new features. - Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported during testing, provide detailed defect reports, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution. - Oversee the integration of API testing (REST/SOAP) into the test framework. - Develop and execute performance testing and load testing as needed. - Implement best practices for Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI/CD) pipelines. - Evaluate and introduce new tools/technologies to enhance the testing process and efficiency. - Provide technical guidance on the latest trends and technologies in test automation, mobile testing, and API testing. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - Expert-level knowledge of Java and experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated testing. - Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing (Android and iOS). - Solid understanding of API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, etc. - Strong knowledge of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and platforms. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and version control (Git). - Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, etc. - Solid experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
