Senior Software Engineer - Android Developer @ Info Edge

Job Description

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate Android Developer with hands-on experience in building high-quality native Android applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with Kotlin and Java, familiar with Android SDK, and have practical experience with modern Android development architectures and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and scalable Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and backend to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with MVVM architecture and modern Android Jetpack components (Compose, LiveData, ViewModel, Room, etc.).
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 13 years of professional experience in native Android development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture, and other Android libraries.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
• Understanding of version control tools (Git).
• Knowledge of Material Design guidelines and responsive UI development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Firebase, analytics tools, and push notifications.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and unit testing (JUnit, Espresso).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
