Data Engineer @ IGT Solutions

Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on ETL processes and database management.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Azure data management suite (MSSQL, Azure Databricks, PowerBI, Data factories, Azure cloud monitoring, etc.) and Python scripting.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems
• Strong development skills in python and pyspark.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and data mart creation.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable data pipelines and databases. This role focuses on managing the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, creating databases and data marts, and ensuring data logistics and storage are optimized for performance and reliability.
The Data Engineer will work closely with other members of the data team to ensure data is properly ingested, cleaned, and stored for future analysis. He/she will take requirements from the reporting & business analysis team (product owner and reporting specialists) and create the appropriate views to secure the availability of the data.
He/she will ensure that proper monitoring is implemented.
