Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect/Lead with expertise in Azure Data Systems to join our team.
As a Data Architect/Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using Azure data services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and play a key role in shaping our data architecture strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and robust data architectures using Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture designs and technical specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure data services and technologies based on business needs, performance requirements, and scalability considerations.
- Develop data models, schemas, and data integration strategies to support business analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Azure data platforms.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and other team members, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics, and assess their potential impact on our data architecture strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure data services.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
