Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with a background in global procurement and/or Services procurement to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in global procurement and building relationships with key stakeholders. Furthermore, the candidate should work in close collaboration with regional team members from EMEA and NA region.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS :
- Develops, supports and implements programs/ strategies, to meet GPO saving goals and targets
- Demonstrates good capacity for evaluating suppliers, sourcing, analyzing proposals and negotiation
- Works independently within given area of responsibility and in collaboration with stakeholder
- Executes complex sourcing projects on a local, regional and global level. Prepares the sourcing and contracting based on facts and figures as result of an analysis
- Participate in procurement projects with cross-regional or cross-category focus
- Ensures compliance in relation to SAP s policies and guidelines and works closely with SAP legal, audit, compliance and data protection team
- Contributes to strategy execution and conduct market analysis and track market trends
- Knows and understands the SAP corporate strategy and the strategy of his/her area of procurement
- Enhance purchasing related processes to best-in-class procurement processes
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in procurement processes, analytical skills, negotiation, and communication skills
- Collaboration and communication skills, team player, ability to work in virtual international teams
- Project management skills and MS-Office knowledge (MS-Office, Word, PPT and Excel)
- SAP system knowledge (incl. ARIBA, Fieldglass) is a plus
- Languages: English
- Compliance sense with high standard
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years relevant experience in purchasing or tactical procurement within indirect procurement environments, ideally in a multinational environment
- Strong categories knowledge upon IT equipment, technical consultancy service and HR service
