Job Description
- As a Principal Consultant - Senior Python Developer at Genpact, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services using Python and relevant frameworks such as Django, Flask, and FastAPI. Your key responsibilities will include: - Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features. - Building and maintaining RESTful APIs for seamless integration with third-party services. - Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Troubleshooting, debugging, and improving existing codebases. - Writing unit tests to ensure code reliability and quality. - Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers. - Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Python development. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices. Qualifications we seek in you: - Experience in Python development, including building backend systems and web applications. - Strong knowledge of Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. - Experience working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL. - Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. - Proficiency in version control tools, particularly Git. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. - Knowledge of testing frameworks such as pytest and unit test. - Containerizing applications using Docker for improved deployment and scalability. - Working with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage development, staging, and production environments. - Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. - Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus. - Familiarity with task queues like Celery and caching mechanisms such as Redis.,
