Job Description
- As a member of the Cisco Distributed System Engineering (DSE) group, you will be at the forefront of developing products that drive the largest networks in the world. This team is responsible for building platform SDK on Silicon Architecture and is passionate about tackling complex technology while working with in-house and open-source technologies. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment and being accountable for end-to-end product development. - Design and develop common software infrastructure components for network operating systems (NOS), SDK, hardware infrastructure, and platform components. - Develop and maintain tools to accelerate software development, focusing on build, packaging, and installation of SDK. - Build and maintain Test Infrastructure components like gRPC Server, collaborating with hardware teams to optimize hardware-software interactions. - Write, review, and optimize code for critical system modules, drivers, and APIs supporting high-performance data planes and control planes. - Work with Technical Leader on the technical architecture to develop tools and common infrastructure components. - Collaborate with product leaders and engineering teams to gather requirements, align deliverables with business objectives, and evaluate new tools and technologies. - Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and issue resolution to ensure timely and quality deliverables. - 10+ years of experience in software development within the networking industry. - Hands-on experience in tools and infrastructure development preferably for embedded systems or network operating systems (NOS). - Excellent knowledge of GitHub, build, packaging, installation of SDK components, and leveraging tools to accelerate software development. - Prior exposure to building generic test infrastructure integrated with CICD systems. - Experience working on technical projects in a complex development environment. - Knowledge of SDK development with major networking silicon providers (such as Broadcom, Marvell, Mellanox, etc).,
