Job Description
- Role Overview: Descartes is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fullstack Java Software Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. You should excel in communication, demonstrate strong ownership, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and be committed to continuous self-development. As a candidate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Java software solutions, ensuring minimal defects, and adhering to project timelines. Key Responsibilities: - Provide regular status reports to stakeholders. - Prepare and deliver leadership presentations. - Facilitate effective team communication. - Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery. - Proactively identify and resolve issues independently. - Assist colleagues and peers in troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Foster a collaborative team environment. - Commit to learning at least one new skill annually. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. - Ensure planned projects and enhancements are delivered on time with QA and V&V cleared software. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with a 4 to 6 years of experience range. - 3-5 years of experience in Java 11.x or above. - Front-end experience with React or Angular or similar. - Experience with SQL Server or Oracle database. - Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Struts. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
