Job Description
- As a FundProperty accounting professional at RSM's Fund Services+, you will have an exciting career opportunity with a best-in-class technology platform and an end-to-end fund service model tailored for the private markets. You will assume ownership of the fund complex, including end-to-end responsibilities for property/investment accounting and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include: - Prepare/review monthly/quarterly and annual financial statements with footnotes, including management reporting packages. - Maintain proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP requirements. - Handle entity operations bookkeeping, such as cash booking, expense accruals, assets and depreciation accounting, management fees, credit facility maintenance, deal funding, etc. - Support queries from clients, fund accounting team, regulatory authorities, and external auditors. - Assist in onboarding new clients, setting up entities, assets, and building customized reports according to clients" reporting requirements. - Create/Review SOPs and checklists for various processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. - Review capital calls and distribution calculations and schedules through the technology platform. - Collaborate with global team members, manage day-to-day operations, and provide client servicing. - Provide mentorship and guidance to new or junior team members. - Develop staff, aid in retention, and help team members navigate their careers at the firm. Qualifications required for this role: - 8+ years of experience in property/investment services domain with fund managers, fund administrators, or public accounting firms. - 3+ years of experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams. - Ability to interpret and apply the financial and operational terms of Investment Agreements and Structures for PE/RE entities. - Undergraduate degree in accounting. - CPA and/or CA preferred. - Proficient knowledge of Investment accounting platforms (Yardi knowledge a large PLUS!). - Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized. - Demonstrates a strong work ethic, team player mentality, upholds personal and professional integrity, and maintains a positive attitude. - Possesses effective oral and written communication skills, influencing skills, and leadership capabilities. - Adapts well to dynamic, fast-paced environments and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
