Job Description
- Role Overview: As a Big Data Admin with RDBMS skills, your role will involve supporting a broad variety of solutions including HDFS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic search, and SQL Server or Postgres or MySQL. You will be responsible for analyzing existing database systems, recommending improvements, establishing database security structures, and ensuring Sox compliance. Your strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills will be essential in effectively implementing new technologies and optimizing database objects. Additionally, you will provide 24x7 on-call support and technical input to solution development plans. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements - Work with IT Manager to establish database security structures and Sox compliance - Implement new technologies effectively - Optimize database objects and provide 24x7 on-call support - Provide technical input to solution development plans - Communicate effectively with business partners - Mentor less experienced IT Administrators - Plan and manage technical projects involving other teams - Contribute to technical research on new technologies Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience - Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge,
