Job Description
-
Supervise PET bottling operations during the assigned shift.
-
Plan, allocate, and monitor manpower and machine usage.
-
Ensure smooth shift handover and maintain accurate shift reports/logbooks.
-
Monitor production processes and optimize machine uptime and output.
-
Ensure production targets are met within time, quality, and cost parameters.
-
Minimize line downtime, rework, and wastage.
-
Operate and monitor PET bottling machines such as:
-
Preform feeding
-
Filling and capping machines
-
Labelling and packing machines
-
-
Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
-
Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and other relevant quality standards.
-
Conduct in-process checks to ensure PET bottles meet dimensional and visual specifications.
-
Maintain 5S, hygiene, and safety practices on the shop floor.
-
Supervise line operators, packers, and helpers.
-
Train team members on SOPs, safety, and quality standards.
-
Maintain discipline and promote teamwork within the shift.
-
Maintain daily production, downtime, rejection, and manpower utilization records.
-
Report production KPIs and issues to higher management.
-
Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Food Technology.
-
4 to 9 years of experience in a PET bottling line, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing company.
-
Hands-on experience with filling, capping, labeling, and shrink wrapping machines.
-
Knowledge of food safety standards and GMP practices.
-
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-
Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
