Role & responsibilities
Job Description
1. IT Infrastructure & End-User Support
Manage installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops,
laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
Provide Level-1 & Level-2 support for hardware and software issues for all Head Office users.
Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements and
warranty claims.
Maintain asset inventory of all IT equipment and ensure AMC renewals.
2. Network & Connectivity Management
Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity, internet links, and VPN access for
Head Office users.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues in coordination with service
providers and plant IT teams.
Support network expansion and structured cabling works as per
corporate standards.
Assist in firewall and switch configuration under supervision of the
central IT team.
3. Server & Application Support
Support domain user management (Active Directory, email accounts, and group policies).
Coordinate with central IT for application access (ERP, HRMS, MIS dashboards, etc.).
Monitor server room environment (UPS, power, temperature, and access control).
4. Information Security & Compliance
Ensure antivirus/XDR solutions are updated and functional on all
endpoints.
Enforce IT security policies for password management, data backup,
and device control.
Report any suspicious activities, incidents, or unauthorized access
attempts promptly.
Participate in periodic IT security audits and implement corrective
measures.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily call log, incident tracker, and IT asset register.
Prepare monthly reports on IT performance, incidents, and uptime
statistics.
Keep updated documentation of network diagrams, configurations
and IP allocation.
6. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with plant IT teams for cross-location connectivity and
application issues.
Coordinate with vendors for project implementation, device delivery
and support.
Support management during video conferences, board meetings, and presentations.
7. IT Projects & Implementation
Assist in deployment of new IT solutions (Wi-Fi, access control,
surveillance, etc.).
Support digitalization, automation, and modernization initiatives
driven by corporate IT.
Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and provide feedback on
technical feasibility.
8. Backup & Data Protection
Ensure scheduled data backups of critical systems and user profiles.
Verify backup logs and report any failures to the IT Manager.
Support in data restoration and archival processes as per policy.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and
remote support tools.
Basic understanding of firewall, switch and network topology.
Good communication and vendor management skills.
Awareness of cyber security best practices.
Preferred candidate profile
510 years experience in network and security administration,
preferably worked in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
