Job Description
- Collect blood samples using venipuncture, capillary, or other approved collection methods.

Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of all specimens.

Prepare and maintain collection equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.

Follow infection control and safety procedures during specimen collection and handling.

Record and document patient information accurately in the laboratory system.

Provide assistance and reassurance to patients during collection, especially those anxious or uncomfortable with the procedure.

Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and notify the supervisor of shortages.
