Principal Software Engineer (C# with DevOps) @ Optum

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• API Development: Design and develop robust APIs using C# to automate backend systems and streamline service provisioning.
• User Interface Development: Build and maintain intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React, supporting seamless interaction with provisioning systems and enhancing user experience.
• Automation: automating administrative tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual effort.

Must Have Skills

Software Development: Over 5 years of experience developing solutions using C#, with a strong focus on scalable and maintainable code.

Scripting & Automation: 4+ years of hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Perl.

Database Development: Skilled in developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, including writing stored procedures, functions, and optimizing queries for performance.

CI/CD: 3+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and services, including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub, supporting automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.

Nice To Have Skills

Certifications: Microsoft Certified: AZ-204.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience designing and deploying infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.

Frontend Development: Proficient in building user interfaces with React, focusing on responsive design and component-based architecture.
