Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced System and Network Administrator with 78 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our internal systems and networks, supporting mission-critical healthcare and business applications.Key Responsibilities:System Administration
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows/Linux servers (on-prem and cloud).
- Ensure uptime and performance of critical services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
- Perform OS patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance with minimal downtime.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent scripting tools.
Network Administration
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, pfSense).
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize bandwidth usage.
- Ensure LAN/WAN performance, security, and availability across multiple sites.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage endpoint security, antivirus, firewalls, VPN, and IDS/IPS.
- Enforce role-based access, multi-factor authentication, and data encryption policies.
- Assist in audits, compliance documentation (HIPAA, ISO, etc.), and vulnerability assessments.
Cloud & Virtualization
- Administer cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or OCI) including EC2/VMs, networking, and IAM.
- Manage VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox for virtual environments.
- Handle backups, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
Support & Maintenance
- Act as L3 support for escalated infrastructure or network issues.
- Maintain system documentation, change logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide IT support for deployments, migrations, and special projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 78 years of proven experience in system and network administration.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of:
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
- Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP/DNS, Exchange/SMTP services
- Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, etc.)
- Firewalls, routers, load balancers
- Experience with:
- Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI)
- Backup tools (Veeam, Acronis, Bacula, etc.)
- Network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Security+ / Network+
- VMware VCP / Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to document processes, diagrams, and configurations clearly.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and incident handling.
