Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive SAP Bilingual Consultant with over 3 years of experience in SAP Basis and strong Japanese communication skills (JLPT N2 certified). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting SAP Basis operations, coordinating with Japanese-speaking stakeholders, and ensuring smooth system functionality in a global support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support SAP Basis activities including installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Japanese clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide SAP support in both English and Japanese.
- Monitor system performance and perform routine health checks for SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, etc.).
- Handle user administration, system copies, backups, upgrades, patching, and transport management.
- Participate in system migrations and version upgrades as required.
- Provide Level 1/2/3 support in SAP Basis issues as per the support model.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users across regions.
- Support 24/7 operations as part of rotational shift schedules.
- Document technical solutions and ensure knowledge transfer across teams.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Proficient in handling SAP systems hosted on on-premise or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, components, and database systems (HANA, Oracle, SQL).
- JLPT N2 Certification or higher Strong proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with global teams.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts (including weekends or holidays if needed).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager, S/4HANA migrations, or HANA Database administration.
- ITIL certification or understanding of IT service management best practices.
